A strategy to guide the sustainable development of the Delta municipality. Undertook the socio-economic assessment of the community for the Strategy. The Strategy was commissioned by the Delta Chamber of Commerce, 2004.

Alternative Economic Development – Napo Region, Ecuador

This project analyzed the nexus of economic diversification and culture in a Napo Quichua town Eastern Ecuador. Residents were interested in exploring more sustainable markets such as fair trade coffee and handicrafts and eco-tourism, allowing them to diversify their economy and limit their reliance on invasive species cultivation. Developed for the Asociación Kichwa Muchu Causai and the Lethbridge Public Interest Research Group, 2008.

Analysis of Sustainable Community Development Initiatives – Quito, Ecuador

This project analyzed the achievements of three programs currently operating in the Metropolitan Region of Quito, each with its own approach to sustainable community development. Projects were evaluated based on their ability to improve the immediate and long-term socioeconomic prospects for target populations facing social, economic, racial and gender barriers. Developed for the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC) and Simon Fraser University, 2011.

 Osooyoos Investment Profile Strategy

An assessment of key economic sectors in the Osooyoos area including warehousing, value-added wood, food processing, wine production and tourism infrastructure.  The best opportunities were recommended for investment and a strategy was prepared to grow these sectors.  The study was undertaken for the Town of Osooyoos and Destination Osooyoos, 2007.

Squamish Secondary Wood Processing Strategy, 2004 (6 months)

A secondary wood processing strategy for the community of Squamish, including a manufacturer inventory and capacity analysis, a SWOT analysis, a market analysis and an opportunity analysis as well as an action plan for pursuing key opportunities.  The project also hosted orientation workshops for local wood processors to familiarize them with key recommendations.  Developed for the City of Squamish, 2004.
